Educational scope

Salvage Math provides education, structured history reconstruction, decision analysis, and lived-experience perspective for people affected by someone else's addiction. It does not diagnose or treat addiction or mental illness and does not provide psychotherapy, medical or legal advice, treatment placement, intervention services, or emergency care.

You remain responsible for your own decisions. Salvage Math may help you organize history, evidence, options, conditions, costs, uncertainty, and tradeoffs, but it does not make the final decision for you.

Not emergency or crisis care

Do not use Salvage Math for an emergency, imminent danger, overdose response, suicide or self-harm response, or other situation requiring immediate professional assistance. Use the appropriate local emergency or crisis resources instead.

Paid services

Any paid service is limited to the scope, deliverables, price, and turnaround presented on the applicable offer page, checkout page, or written agreement. Ask Stephen is a focused private written review, not unlimited messaging or an ongoing coaching relationship. Family Reconstruction is a structured reconstruction and decision-analysis service, not treatment or family therapy.

Offer-specific payment, cancellation, refund, scheduling, and delivery terms shown at purchase or agreed in writing are part of these Terms.

No promised outcome

Salvage Math cannot promise that another person will change, enter treatment, remain sober, repair a relationship, avoid legal or financial consequences, or respond in a particular way to your decision. Examples, stories, analyses, and prior outcomes are educational and are not guarantees of future results.

Your information

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for having the right to share it. Do not submit records or private information that are not needed for the service. Privacy handling is described on the Privacy page.

Submitting a private case does not grant Salvage Math permission to publish it. Any public educational use that could identify you or be substantially based on a submitted case requires separate permission or appropriate anonymization or compositing.

Intellectual property

Salvage Math, Rescue Math, the 9 R's framework, site text, graphics, worksheets, reports, videos, and other original materials are protected content. You may use materials you purchase or download for your own personal or family decision-making. You may not republish, resell, distribute, or present them as your own without permission.

Third-party services

The site may use third-party services for payments, forms, email, analytics, video, or other functions. Your use of those services may also be subject to the provider's own terms and privacy practices.

Reasonable-use limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Salvage Math is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site or educational services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply to future use.
